CORTE DI CATERINA
STILLA DI VINO RED WINE The carriage of Caterina travels along Florentine countryside, where long rows of grapevines spread out among the sunny hills. Some farmers pick the rich bunches of grape, while women and children crush the fruits inside large vats, laughing and singing. Caterina tells the coachman to stop and from the carriage gets off her Perfumer, who gathers in a small glass ampoule the purple wine which pours from the vats. He takes it to Caterina, but she, instead of drinking it, smells it and pours two drops of it on her wrist.
